'Research in Germany' Networking Conference for Research Alumni in the US

For the first time, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation organises an exclusive networking conference in New York City for approximately 60 research alumni of major German research (funding) organisations. All selected academics from the US previously spent time researching at universities or research institutions in Germany, either in the context of a fellowship or an employment contract, and are now back in the US where they have established themselves as researchers at reputable universities and institutes.
The event to launch the establishment of a cross-organisational Network of Research Alumni in the US will be opened at the German Center for Research and Innovation, United States Plaza, under the guiding theme of "New Frontiers: Shifting Trends in the Global Research Landscape and their Impact on Researchers' Career Patterns".
Participation by invitation only!
Invitations are sent to research alumni who have been nominated by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the Max Planck Society, the Helmholtz Association, the Leibniz Association.
This Networking Conference for Research Alumni in the US is a constituent part of the collaborative project “International Research Marketing” which is a joint initiative by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
All the activities within this project are part of the "Promote Innovation and Research in Germany" initiative under its brand “Research in Germany”. The initiative is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
